You’ll find me watching the sunrise, coffee in hand, planning a day in the garden. Sunday afternoons are full of fresh air, family, and fun, testing farm-to-table recipes with a glass of pinot noir.

That’s like naming your favourite child - it’s impossible to pick! I’ve always had a soft spot for pansies and violas. Happy and hardy, they are a symbol of spring and edible too.

Roasted Cauliflower Parmesan. My son, Matheson's favourite, it's simple, easy, and delicious!

Roasted Cauliflower Parmesan
- Set oven to 375°F
- Wash + cut cauliflower into bite sized pieces
- Place in a bowl drizzle with olive oil and dust garlic powder + salt and toss
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
- Roast in oven for ~20 minutes until slightly brown
- Turn off oven
- Remove cauliflower + lightly cover with grated parmesan cheese
- Place back in oven until cheese melts (3-5 mins)
- Let cool + Enjoy!

My roots
Take a walk down frankie’s path
1972
Francis Anthony Ferragine (aka Frankie Flowers) sprouts into the world, coming home to Bradford, Ontario where the family home is attached to a greenhouse.
1980’s -1990’s
Frankie spends his free time working all aspects of his family business Bradford Greenhouses. It’s all hands on deck from farming to greenhouse production, solving customers plant problems in their garden centre to garden design and installation.
1993
Frankie graduates from York University and helps open his families second garden centre in Barrie, Ontario.
1994
“Frankie Flowers” is born. Frankie appears in numerous gardening segments within Bob’s Garden on CKVR /New VR /currently CTV 2.
1999
Frankie hosts and produces Diggin’IT a 13 episode gardening program for CHCH.
2002
Frankie alongside of Bob McIntyre host GrowTV on The New VR.
2005
Frankie joins Breakfast Television as the Weather and Garden Specialist.
2006
Frankie becomes Father to Gavin Ferragine.
2009
Frankie becomes Father to Matheson Ferragine.
2010
Frankie alongside friends Beth Edney and Jordan Murfin TinkerBell Garden awarded best Overall Garden at Canada Blooms.
2011-2016
Frankie becomes author to 4 best selling books (1. Get Growing | 2. Pot it Up | 3. Power Plants | 4. Food to Grow)
2012
Receives Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for Volunteer Service
2015
Receives Citizen of the Year Bradford West Gwillumbury. Frankie is 4 x Landscape Garden Communicator of the Year and 10 x Toronto Sun Favourite Weather Personality
2020
